Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Saint Clair Estate Wines, Marlborough, New Zealand.Saint Clair is a regular award-winning producer, especially for the quality of their Sauvignon Blancs. This Sauvignon is intensely aromatic with all the characteristics of this variety - gooseberries, with hints of tropical fruit and a deliciously full crispness on the palate.

Rioja Crianza, Luis Cañas, Rioja, Spain. Twelve months oak ageing gives a little complexity and softens the wine - yielding a well balanced ripe fruited wine with a soft, sweetish oak finish.
Barolo DOCG Patres, San Silvestro, Piemonte, Italy. Barolo is one of Italy's supreme reds. Made purely from the Nebiolo grape, its reputation is for big, dark, tannic wines that can take years to soften. Happily, however, there are some wines like San Silvestro's 'Patres' offering authentic flavours in a modern, immediately approachable style.
